Rigorous historical reconstruction with contemporary standards

Complete renovation of a historic residence

Complete top-to-bottom renovation of an early 20th-century residential property, previously used as office space, subject to a façade preservation constraint with full freedom of intervention on the interiors. The project involved a total spatial transformation aimed at restoring a clear and authentic historical identity to an initially neutral layout.

The Baroque aesthetic was entirely reconstructed from scratch, through a highly controlled execution process: bespoke plaster boiseries crafted by specialized artisans, restored original doors and shutters, and new wooden windows designed to meet current performance standards while faithfully preserving original proportions, materials, and façade appearance.

Renewall acted as general contractor, following direct selection by an architectural firm, due to its proven ability to ensure schedule reliability, cost control, and exceptional execution quality on highly complex projects, coordinating complex workflows and contributing technical proposals and custom-built solutions that often enhanced the final outcome beyond initial expectations.

A method-driven site management approach enabled the delivery of an exceptionally complex project within remarkably efficient timelines, without sacrificing quality. The result is a refined residence where historical rigor, execution precision, and contemporary comfort coexist seamlessly.

Managing a full renovation of an early 20th-century historic property with façade restrictions, converting it from office use into a high-end residence. Key challenges included the discovery of a barrel vault, later restored and frescoed, the structural reinforcement of a timber floor to support a grand piano, and the complex logistics of installing the instrument through street-facing windows without interfering with tram cables, all under strict time constraints.

Implementation of a structured site methodology integrating historical analysis, structural assessment, and advanced logistics planning. The barrel vault was stabilized, restored, and frescoed, the timber floor reinforced with compatible technical solutions, and the grand piano installed using a special crane arm, operating from the street without impacting urban infrastructure. Each phase was coordinated to ensure execution accuracy and schedule compliance.

A historic residence fully transformed and enhanced, where aesthetic rigor, advanced technical solutions, and site management coexist in balance. A highly complex project delivered within remarkably efficient timelines, demonstrating how method, coordination, and expertise result in measurable quality and real reliability.
