Modern Penthouse

Modern Penthouse

A contemporary project shaped by light and space

Modern residential renovation

Complete renovation of a residential penthouse developed with a clean and contemporary architectural language. The project involved the redefinition of interior layouts, new flooring, bespoke solutions, and updated building systems, with strong attention to natural light and visual continuity.

The design emphasizes open spaces, refined surfaces, and coherent materials, enhancing the height and exposure typical of a penthouse. The result is a bright, balanced, and modern living environment designed for everyday comfort and fluid use.

Completing a 160 sqm penthouse acquired as a shell from the developer: a blank canvas to be brought to life with all systems and finishes, transformed into a living space with a contemporary architectural language. The primary complexity lay in the construction of a design staircase, a one-of-a-kind piece designed by architect Simona Di Benedetto, with all the coordination challenges between metalwork, artisan craftsmanship and masonry.

The staircase was built entirely in iron by our trusted blacksmith, then clad in gold leaf by a local craftsman using a technique that produces an aged yet contemporary effect: the cantilevered steps projecting from the wall become inhabited sculpture. In the living area, ceramic flooring in varying formats was laid to create a visual pattern coherent with the architectural language of the project. In the guest bathroom, the Fantini Serie Milano tapware by Franco Sergiani in chrome finish, with rain and cascade showerheads, closes the project with a detail of technical and formal distinction.

From a raw shell, a space where every element tells a deliberate story: nothing is decorative by convention, everything is selected and installed with intent. The project demonstrates how high-quality artisan work, when coordinated with method, produces results that endure over time both aesthetically and functionally.
